If you love shopping from China without having to travel to China, one of the best ways to go about it is to shop online using Alibaba's sister site Aliexpress.com.

Aliexpress is an online shopping site that has become a major haven for international shoppers across the world who want to buy from China using the internet including Nigerians.

With Aliexpress.com, you can browse through a lot of categories and products that really come at a cool low price. They offer a wide range of over 9 million items and list products from over 10,000 Chinese exporters and marketers so Aliexpress is a big deal when it comes to buying from China.

Internet shopping is a growing phenomenon in Nigeria and although there are a lot of online shops that allow you to buy clothes, shoes, jewelleries and computers at a price, you may actually find better deals and better prices when you start shopping at Aliexpress.com.

What do you need to shop at Aliexpress.com?
- A buyer's account. It is free. Just get registered with your email address
- A means of payment. e.g. Visa or Mastercard or domiciliary account if you are a big importer.
- Internet connection

- Get to know which items are not prohibited by the Nigerian custom service first
- Go to Aliexpress.com
- Browse through categories or search for specific products
- Select the ones you want
- Click on buy now or add to wish list for later shopping
- Make payment
- Funds will be kept by Aliexpress until you have received the goods
- Expect delivery of the goods in Nigeria
- Confirm that you have received it
- Seller will be paid by Aliexpress.com

Why do you need a US Mastercard when you can get a Nigerian mastercard? Well, to get a US mastercard, you'd need to open a US bank account. If you are in Nigeria, it is better to get a mastercard from a bank in Nigeria
