I wish I had bought Zenith bank shares when they offered their i.p.o. and then the offer price was set at . Over the years and even after the stock market's near collapse, the company only shrunk a bit in their share value and it has started rising again. Other things shareholders who took opportunity then had gained were their consistent yearly dividend payments which were high as well
as their stock price.

Zenith bank is already paying mouth-watering dividends
Now it's May and I already know a couple of people receiving their dividend warrant and especially one I know that just got paid N20,000 as dividend. I guess they are others who would be getting over N50,000 to N100,000 as yearly dividends from Big Z. This year's dividend rate is placed at N0.95k per unit and this means that a shareholder who owns about 10,000 units of Zenith bank shares before the closure of their books for the past financial year would be entitled to be paid about N9500. Now they would definitely be some big boys with over 100 to 200k shares of Zenith bank and their yearly dividends would be some kind of cool income.

Real estate business vs Zenith bank shares
Think of it this way, If you invested say N3 in a home and it brings you maybe N300,000 yearly as house rent, how much will that same N3m bring to you if you invested it into Zenith bank shares. If we were considering income based on only dividends for now, then N3m would be able to buy about 200,000 shares at their current price of N15. Now, based on their payment of 0.95k dividend per share, then for the 200,000 shares, you could be making N190,000 as dividend payments if the rate is consistent. yearly. Now considering the fact also that Zenith bank may be a bit under priced being the top bank in Nigeria and the economy is still expected to grow bigger in the next couple of years, Zenith may still have some capital appreciation to as high as N20. So it's also a cool investment that you can do if you have enough capital and just want your money work for you. Investing in real estate for commercial purposes can be a more stressful for of business than investing in Zenith bank shares, so think about it.

Good day. My name is Eduke Anita. I would like to make an enquiry on how to get back shares certificate. My late father, Mr stanley Eduke, bought shares for I and my younger brother as at the year 2004. The certificate was sent to us. But along the line when we had issues with our landlord, they through must of our things outside the house and we couldn't find most of our things and the dividend certificate. I would like to get details on how to get my lost certificate. Thank you. Thanks for your solidarity.

It is not a big problem. Just visit the office of Zenith bank registrars and they'll rectify it for you. Maybe you changed your address or your address was not traceable.
