One of the things which many people are using on their mobile phones nowadays is Whatsapp. It's a mobile app that allows people to communicate with each other as long as they are connected to the internet. It's basically a chatting platform that allows one to send and receive text messages, pictures, videos and sounds. It's also a good platform to make money.

I belong to several Whatsapp groups and some I created myself. You can create one for your friends and family to discuss on issues that affect you and you can also create one for doing business.

In order to make money with Whatsapp, the basic things you need to have are a mobile phone, data plan, an existing business and a list of phone numbers.

You probably already have a mobile phone so the next thing you need to do is subscribe to a data plan and it's best to just go for a monthly data plan and get Whatsapp installed on your phone if you don't already have it.

You also need to build a list of phone numbers of your potential customers. If you have friends and people who you feel need your service or products, you can add them to it and you can build your list too.

The business model of selling on Whatsapp is to simply use it as a marketing tool to sell what you are already offering and it could be a service or products. You just need to be making regular posts on Whatsapp so that your potential clients would read it and reply to you if they are interested.

You could post pictures of your recent products like clothes, shoes, books, food and so on and list the price too. You can promote your stuff using by offering new stuff or discounts. You should give people sufficient information about what you are offering and the conditions attached such that it would be a transparent offer.

People are more likely to patronize you if they trust you and that is ultimately your goal by using Whatsapp to keep them informed.
