Amazon.com is probably the most popular online shopping website in the world and it is based in the USA but sells to most other countries around the world.

Amazon is into online shopping and hence provide a platform for both buyers and sellers to buy and sell.

There are many ways one can make money with Amazon but if you are in Nigeria, this post is on how you can use Amazon to make money right here.

Ways to make money from Amazon

The above mentioned ways and things I've done and know that they work and it's possible to use it to make money as long as you have an Amazon.com account.

1. Importing and reselling: You can make money by buying things from Amazon, brining them into Nigeria and reselling it to buyers. There are lots of people who want to buy things they can't readily find in Nigeria and they have the money for it. They are some that prefer US made goods because of the quality. Although Nigeria has a large market and already has some local shopping websites, there are still some things you can't easily find in Nigeria and even some things are not sold at a good price. You can make money if you buy from Amazon and resell to buyers right here for some profit after calculating your purchase and shipping cost. To buy from Amazon and ship to Nigeria, you just need to make use of a US shipping company and you can pay with your bank issued card or bank wire.

I once wrote about how I shop on US websites like Amazon and ship it to Nigeria. You can buy things like laptops for as low as $100 and resell them for even $300 in Nigeria.

2. Affiliate marketing: Another cool way to make money from Amazon is by engaging in their affiliate program. You can make money by referring customers to them and when they buy, you earn a commission based on the sales price. I've made some money from their program and I get paid with their gift cards. To earn money from this program, you need to at least have a website or place where you can write and review their products and then use your affiliate links on that website so that when customers read your review and click on your link, you stand a chance of getting some credit when they purchase. You can use platforms like blogger, hubpages, YouTube channel or your own website to make money as an affiliate. You also need to first of all register for an account with Amazon as an associate.

3. Amazon Kindle Digital Publishing program: This is basically a program that allows people to write and sell their book on the Amazon digital store. You just need to write a book on something of interest to the Amazon buyer's community and upload the manuscript to your account and decide on how much you want to sell it. Digital books are normally sold in virtual form and you can sell for as low as $0.99 or even as much as $5. If you already have books that you have written, you can upload it to Amazon and start selling it to Kindle and other digital users who can shop on the Kindle store.

Your sales and earnings will be recorded in your Amazon KDP account which you can check regularly. Your earnings will be accumulated and you can get paid when it reaches the payout limit.

Well, those are the ways I think you can make money from Amazon in Nigeria

Thanks for the article. My only concern is the cost of shipping some of these shiipping companies quote for the goods. All the same, it is a good option.

First write your book down in manuscript form using a Computer program such as Ms Word, use graphics program to create the Cover and then upload it to Amazon KDP or CreateSpace.
