Jumia is a top online shopping platform that allows people to buy stuff at great prices. They make money from the online retail market and now they are introducing a program that would allow people to also make money online by promoting them.

How to promote affiliate links

You just need to drive traffic to your affiliate url using your website, blog or social presence(Twitter, Facebook or Google). You would need to copy the affiliate link from your Jumia affiliate account and then place them on your online platform so that people would click through them to buy from Jumia. Once people start buying from Jumia though your links, you would start earning money.

The first time I joined the Jumia affiliate program, it was run by Commission Junction, a large affiliate network located in the USA. Then, it was harder for people to join if you didn't have a website and Paypal account. However, now, their affiliate program is now run directly by Jumia and you don't need to have a Paypal account to join but you can receive payments directly to your bank account.

What I love about this program is that you don't necessarily need to have your own website in order to make money from Jumia unlike most other affiliate programs but even with a Facebook account, you can start earning money from Day one.

- Just head over to http://www.jumia.com.ng/jumia-affiliate/
- Click to sign up for an account
- Enter your details to fill in the form. in the url, you should use your website or social medial url e.g facebook.com/name or twitter.com/name
- Get a confirmation email and log in details
- Log in at affiliate.jumia.com to copy links and banners
- You can now promote the links with your online presence

Once people start visiting Jumia from your promoted links and make a purchase, you will earn a commission which will ad up in your account and you would receive payment to your bank account anytime you have earned enough money. You can promote items that Jumia sells such as mobile phones, computers, clothing, household items and so on.
